Reflection
Experience
As a sequence of Digital Photography & Imagery module, this module serves its purpose in allowing us to explore more aspects especially in video editing and sound production. Initially, I feel a lil bit ackward when it came to filming myself. However, I viewed this as a good opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and push my boundaries as an artist. This experiencenot only helped me build courage but also allowed me to approach my artwork from different perspective.
Observation
Engaging in video editing is a eye-opening experience. Through various exercise and editing related project. I gained a lot of knowledge which help me in enhancing my aesthetic view in film and video. Besides, it definately enriched my understanding of visual storytelling. For example, the importance of syning visual with music, color correction & color grading and framing & composition.
Findings
One of the biggest finding I gained from this module would be the versatality of composition. I always interested in experimenting different composition in my artwork. This would be the first time I applied composition techniques in video and film editing and it was amusing yet challenging. At first, I was struggle in converting the criteria of static composition and a continuous compositions in video. Unlike a single frame in static art, video require a seamless flow of visual between frames and create meaning at the same time.
